Private Frank Guildford Bentley 52131, enlisted at Capel, Frank's occupation was listed as a blacksmith when he enlisted. Frank joined the 28th Bn but later transferred to the 17th Coy ASC as a Ferrier. When his grandchildren used to ask him what he did in the war, he replied that he looked after the horses. ref.
