Charles, married Lavinia Higgins' sister, Mary Gardiner, in 1863, established Moulden Farm. In 1862,

Charles Higgins And Mary Matilda Gardiner: Charles For A While Worked For His Brother Henry, Then In 1863 Took Up His Own Place Called 'Maldon Farm' Next Door To James And Ann Paine, And Just Across The Swamps From Henry's Springfield. He Employed A TOL Man In 1863.
When Charles Died Mary Was Pregnant With Their Next Child, Sarah Ann. 'Maldon' Was The Home Of their Great-Grandchildren Elsie (Who Died 1991 Or 1989) And Albert, Who Bred And Trained Horses As Their Father James Had Before Them, Also A Farmer On "Moulden Farm", Capel.
<A Charlie Higgins Went To Munda Station, Roebourne And Travelled Back South With An Aborigine, Freddy Miller (Aka Kingerbottom Or Kinky Bung).

Note: In the Capel Shire Book – Just a Horse Ride Away, Walter and Andrew’s surname is listed as Higgins. A common thing to do, to be known as Higgins like their siblings.
