Early 1883 Monty and Annie bought land near the bridge across the Preston River to Dardanup and called it 'Toledo'. Cecil the first of 11 children was born there the next year. Annie, having taught her young relatives at Springfield, taught her own children in between churning butter, making bread and helping Monty out on the farm. Ref: Sheryl Knight A Daniel Scott shipped guano down from Sharks Bay selling it as fertilizer for the land in the Mid 1850s
